The Catalyst is built for distance with a high air speed and nice glidey dome paired with a controllable measure of understability. Although the most accessible 23mm distance driver, discs of this speed are quite demanding and average to newer players may see more distance with slower drivers.
Average throwers can access extra range from the Catalyst’s understable flight, with more turnover and less fade back as power increases. Power throwers will have a useful max distance understable response from the Catalyst, with enough low speed bite to stick those long turnovers and provide shaped lines in a tailwind.
